Business overview
Jake White Architecture is an independent residential practice based in Haywards Heath, serving Sussex and Surrey. Founded in 2021 by Jake White MCIAT, the practice brings over 20 years of construction experience to every project — from extensions and loft conversions to new builds and retrofits.
The practice works in 3D CAD from the first measured survey, coordinating structure, services and fabric before a brick is laid. This technical rigour, combined with a patient, design-led approach, has earned recognition including finalist status in the CIAT AT Awards 2024 (Chartered Architectural Technologist of the Year).
Services span the full RIBA plan of work: concept design, planning applications, Building Regulations, Principal Designer duties, contract administration, visualisation and BIM consultancy. The practice also develops free digital tools for the industry, including StairSmith, a parametric staircase design tool.
